Poem: Hope in Prophetic Lies

Half awake, half dreaming
Half asleep, half calculating
The now,
Future past, a prophecy.

Neglected time passes by the door
Leisurely.

Stops for its duration idle,
Chewing age!

Hundreds of images passes under my
Closed eyelids,
Like an old cinema film roll
Rolling … rolling
Tangles and burns and the
Image on the screen goes funny!

Child’s talk is sweet
Simple words are used
Twisted to
Express big ideas.

Innocent.

Half awake, half dreaming
Half asleep, half calculating
Prophecies
Do not come true
Because our
Life span is too short but
Control our lives in the name of
Hope!

Lies.
