In your presence absent!

It is morning
I am sitting alone
At the breakfast table
Surrounded by ghosts
And your memories
I stir your image in
My morning cereal
The milk refuses to comply
The color of your skin
Reshapes into your smile
I despair!

In your presence absent!
I despair!

It is time to go
My new love awaits me
I am still thinking of you
Can you feel my thoughts
And the thousand kisses
I sent to you
In the fibre of my brain
A tear visits
Briefly
My eye as briefly
As your existence
In my life then vanishes and
I despair!

In your presence absent!
I loose my mind!
