Not so sweet

While having my daily walk I passed by a huge sign from one of the leading chain supermarkets. The sign featured a child drinking what the writing indicates a soft drink of the supermarket own label. Nothing is of a surprise there or interest except the low sugar content. Immediately sprung to my mind the question of the artificial sweeteners content that seems to replace sugar in these drinks and the false impression of a more healthy alternative. How could an artificial product be more healthy? Do we need artificial sweeteners when the world is full of natural sources of healthy sugar like fruits and honey? C’est la vie gone mad!
